WE SEE, WE HEAR, WE TOUCH, WEE FEEL.
PERCEPTION DEFINES DIRECTION.
REASON AND LOGIC ONLY CONFIRM IT.
SANTAL is an architectural studio built on uncompromising precision and intent. Architecture is treated as a living environment — one that shapes emotion, perception, and experience. The studio’s approach is defined by three words: Bold. Confident. Quiet.
These qualities shape both the character of our projects and the way we work.
We create bold design that is not afraid to assert itself. Each space is conceived to provoke emotion and establish a dialogue between architecture and the individual. The language is built on clear, expressive forms with a strong character. Ideas are set through decisive gestures; finely tuned details give them depth and resonance. Concepts are daring in intent and precise in execution.
SANTAL projects stand on a solid professional foundation. Architecture is grounded in proven principles, balanced proportions, and rigorous engineering solutions. Bold ideas are supported by calculation, experience, and accuracy of implementation. This is architecture that holds its position without hesitation.
Restraint is treated as strength. Architecture does not seek constant attention; it reveals itself only when necessary. Space becomes a backdrop against which individuality unfolds. These environments carry a sense of inner composure and dignity. They are unobtrusive, yet they hold attention. Within this refined restraint lies substantial force.
Since graduating from architecture school MARHI in 2010, Kyrylo has occupied every seat at the project table. He began as a detail drafter, advanced to lead architect on large residential and hospitality schemes, and later acted as owner’s technical representative—overseeing contracts, schedules and quality on behalf of investors. His portfolio spans Italy, Monaco, Cyprus, Ukraine, Switzerland and the UAE, and includes roles as global procurement negotiator for stone, joinery, bespoke furniture and specialist equipment. This 360-degree path equips Santal SA with both creative vision and construction-site realism.

ARCHTECTURE AS SCENARIO
Architecture is designed as a sequence of states. Spaces are composed into a scenario where each room has its own character, acoustic quality, and rhythm. Materials, light, air density, and the sound of movement operate as a unified system.
Transitions are refined with the same precision as the spaces themselves. Stone entrance halls preserve the architectural rigidity of the façade and establish a clear transition into the interior. Wood-lined offices introduce silence and concentration while maintaining a formal connection to public areas. Living spaces occupy an intermediate position, balancing scale, comfort, and controlled acoustics. Spatial logic is perceived intuitively and requires no explanation.
Color, texture, and material shift deliberately. Formal areas remain restrained and dense. Residential spaces allow greater nuance, depth, and tactility. Workspaces are focused and compressed. There are no accidental decisions.
WORKING WITH PERCEPTION
Design extends beyond the visual. Architecture operates through sound, reflection, absorption, material temperature, and the direction of light. Space shapes atmosphere without relying on overt effects.
Technology is integrated discreetly. Its presence is perceived through comfort, precision, and stability rather than display. Form remains clean, while functionality runs deep.
DETAIL AS DISCIPLINE
Every detail undergoes multiple stages of refinement. Junctions, connections, proportions, and lines are brought to a point where chance is eliminated. This process demands concentration, time, and resources, yet it remains the only acceptable mode of work.
The result is not always immediately visible, but it is always perceived. Architecture remains cohesive, composed, and convincing.
PURITY OF DECISIONS
Imitation is excluded. Only authentic materials and honest constructions are employed. Form follows function, while expression is achieved through proportion and texture. Decoration is never an end in itself.
Laconic architecture requires precision. Errors become apparent instantly. For this reason, attention to detail and execution quality is a fundamental condition of the work.
RATIONALITY
Every decision is tested for technical and economic validity. Budget is treated as part of the composition. Accents are placed deliberately, and resources are concentrated where they directly shape spatial quality and architectural presence. This approach achieves strong expression without unnecessary gestures.
Around SANTAL, a team of architects, interior designers, engineers, structural specialists, and visual artists has formed. These professionals bring diverse experience and expertise, united by attention to detail, high standards, and uncompromising expectations of results.
